Small Works Prospectus & Entry

Entries must be delivered to the Azan Temple on Friday, February 13, 2026 between 9:00-10:00am.

“Make a Splash”

Small Works is an education fundraiser for BWS. This year’s theme is “Make a Splash” so you may paint anything water-related, for example boating, lakes and rivers, beach and surf, children playing, water birds, even fish.

To take part, purchase a 12” x 12” frame from BWS for $15 and paint a 8” x 8” image. Frames are available from the following members: Therese Ferguson (321-749-6962), Laurie Griffin (321-544-3041) or Rose Allan (321-266-6817). You may enter up to 2 paintings. All paintings will sell for $90.00. Sales begin no sooner than Saturday morning, February 14, 2026 at 10 am. If your painting sells you agree to donate at least $25 of the proceeds to BWS’s Arts & Education Fund. The remaining $65 will go to you as the artist, although you may also choose to donate more or all the proceeds to BWS: please check or fill out the amount below. If your painting does not sell, you can pick it up at 4 pm at the end of the show.

Entry Procedures

  • The BWS Small Works Show is open to all current BWS member artists, professional or amateur. Please renew your membership before January 15, 2026.
  • Artwork must be mounted in the frame and mat purchased from BWS, with no modifications. No wiring is required.
  • Your entry must be your own original artwork – no reproductions. No limitations on materials.
  • Attach the display label from the next page on the back left side of the item to identify artist and painting.
  • Notify the Small Works chair, Laurie Griffin, of your name and painting title(s) before Monday, February 2, 2026 so that display labels may be printed before the show. Email Laurie at lbgriffi88@gmail.com or text 321-544-3041.
  • Deliver your artwork with display label applied and this completed entry form to the Small Works coordinator at the Azan Shriners Temple on Friday, February 13, 2026 between 9am – 10am.

By submitting these paintings for inclusion in the Small Works fundraiser at Splash 2026, I am donating $25 of the proceeds of any sale to Brevard Watercolor Society (BWS). I give BWS permission to sell these paintings and photograph them for publicity. As the artist, I retain copyright and ownership of the image.
