Meeting once a month (except in rain and uncomfortable heat) on the third Saturday from 9:00am to noon, generally from October through May, except for February due to Splash. Non-members are welcome!
Purpose: To meet in a non-classroom setting; encourage spontaneous drawing, painting, reference photography, etc. of a variety of subjects; meet and learn from other artists; get helpful input on your work; inspire artists who have never tried painting outdoors; or just enjoy the fresh air and watch other artists until such time as your are inspired to participate.
Locations
A variety of beach, woods, marsh, quaint buildings, downtown villages, marinas, parks. Suggestions for locations are encouraged. Specific meeting places and maps will be emailed at least a week in advance.
Note
All of the above is subject to change based on input from those interested in participating and on weather conditions (hard rain, heat). Those who wish to be notified of last minute cancellations must provide Jan Faerber with phone number. The specific meeting place will be manned each date until 9:15am. Feel free to scatter from the meeting place to stake out your “spot”.
