DESCRIPTION:Brevard Watercolor Society presents “FLORA & FAUNA AT THE REFUGE”\nJANUARY 3\, 2026 – MARCH 29\, 2026 \n“Berry Season” by Therese Payne Ferguson\, Best of Flora 2022 \nThis is a show BWS has done in partnership with the Merritt Island National Refuge beginning 23 years ago\, showcasing watercolor paintings featuring the flora and fauna seen in and around the refuge. The show is displayed at the refuge’s Visitors Center. \nThe show is scheduled when visitors from all over the world flock to the area during prime birding months\, and for the Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival. \nCategories for participating artists include: \nFLORA – trees\, plants\, flowers\, landscapes\nFAUNA – any animal\, bird\, water animals\, bugs – anything that breathes\nLANDSCAPES – on land and water \nArtists interested in participating may click the links below:

SUMMARY:Splash! of Watercolor Art Show 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Brevard Watercolor Society’s annual art show\, “Splash! of Watercolor”\, will be held Saturday and Sunday\, February 14th and 15th\, 2026\, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm both days. This event will take place at the Azan Shriners Center\, 1591 W. Eau Gallie Boulevard\, Melbourne\, FL. Admission and parking are free. \n“Splash! of Watercolor” features the largest exhibit and sale of watercolor paintings in Brevard County. Nearly 100 local artists\, many who have state and nationally-acclaimed works\, will be represented at the show. Student artwork from local colleges and high schools will also be presented. \nOriginal\, framed artwork will be available for sale in the main hall. Prints\, cards\, and unframed originals will also be available for sale in the adjacent Artists’ Marketplace. Ongoing activities include raffle baskets\, silent auction\, and a paint-around with participants finishing each other’s paintings which are available for sale. \nSeveral demonstration events are scheduled throughout the weekend (click here). DESCRIPTION:For BWS members\, at 1425 Highland Avenue (inside the Highland Art Studio)\, Melbourne\, FL. \nIt doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush; as a matter of fact\, if you don’t mind getting messy\, you don’t even have to use a paint brush! On second thought\, maybe that’s not such a good idea… Scratch that.  \nBring your paints\, brushes of various sizes\, a letter sized piece of cardboard or soiled mat for framing and scissors. Bring an apron and a decent sized water container. Paper will be provided. \nSince I suspect most people wouldn’t mind being uninhibited again (painting-wise) again for 3 hours\, the first 10 people who want to have a place to paint need to text Barb at 321/446-6154 WITH YOUR NAME!  \nThe next 10 can come next Thursday 2/26. I’ll confirm your place. The same demo will be shown next Thursday 2/26/26 from 1:30-4:30 pm or until members wanting to try it gets a chance to play\, or until Barb passes out.
