DESCRIPTION:Wickham Park Community Center\n2815 Leisure Way\, Melbourne FL 32935 \nInstructor – Lolly Walton\nIn our September mini workshop we’ll be unleashing our individuality by creating our unique works of art by utilizing a variety of found objects. \nLolly will demonstrate how an array of commonly used objects can add interest and texture to your paintings. She will demonstrate how she has used table salts\, Saran Wrap\, bubble wrap\, tissue paper\, and shaved watercolor pencils to add texture and interest in her paintings. You’ll then create your unique landscape or abstract. You decide… you’re the artist! \n\n“Dockside Blues” by Lolly Walton \nSupplies\nLolly will supply the following for our use during the workshop: \n\nSaran Wrap\, bubble wrap\, salts\, wax crayons\nAttendees should bring their usual watercolor supplies\nIf you have additional materials such as\, watercolor pencils a pencil sharpener\, marbles\, or tissue paper (bleeding type)\, Mr. Clean erasers\, bring them along!\n\nAbout the Artist\nIt wasn’t until 1997 when Lolly Walton took watercolor classes at Miami Dade Community College that she became “hooked on watercolor.” Then when she and her husband retired and moved to Melbourne she decided to devote her time to what she loves\, which is watercolor. She hit the ground running and hasn’t stopped. Lolly’s artwork reflects her passion for color\, texture\, and creativity. As Lolly says\, “There is so much to capture on paper and “creativity is endless.” \nLolly’s art can be seen at Fifth Avenue Gallery and Strawbridge Art Gallery. She is currently teaching at the Sebastian River Art Club and soon to be teaching at Central Brevard Art Association in Rockledge.
