Instructor: Barbara Rios Subject: Come Play Like a Kid
Leave your inhibitions at home! Most seasoned watercolorists have all used (and overused) Saran Wrap, alcohol (rubbing, not booze!), and salt. It’s time to open mind and experiment with Barbara’s precious, 10 year collection of “found objects” (junk) and various other stuff, like wet noodles. Everyone has to swear in blood to return them to her! There will be some instruction, but the time is generally for play!
Supplies to bring:
Paint – basic primary colors
Brushes – wouldn’t bring your good ones
Paper – watercolor (lots of what your normally use, but not the cheap stuff) and Yupo, if you have it. The backs of failed painting is fine
Notebook – to document what works and what doesn’t
Gesso, if you have it
Hair dryer, water bucket, paper towels, etc…
If you have something you’ve used or want to try, bring it!
Please text Barbara (321/446-6154) or email BarbRios@bellsouth.net to make reservations.
Class size is limited to 40, so sign up early. Remember that once you sign up you are taking a seat. If something comes up and you are unable to attend please let the instructor know so they can contact those on the wait list. There were several no shows at the last workshop and artists who were on the wait list who didn’t get to attend.
